Second-grade students of Chiara Hoyt at Cumberland Elementary School will present an abridged version of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” on Thursday and Friday in the Cumberland Elementary School Gym. Thursday’s performance at 5:30 p.m. is open to the public. “Our class has rehearsed for this production all year long,” Hoyt said. “All of the lines retain the essence of the original Shakespearean wording and have been memorized, and the students will be in full costume.”
