Mr. and Mrs. James F. Metcalf III, of Phenix, proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Ryan, to Patrick Fowler Andrews, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Andrews of Charlotte Court House.

Emily is the daughter of the late Robin C. Pillow, of Phenix. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Millard B. Pillow, of Phenix, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin T. Knott Sr. of Phenix. She is a 2007 graduate of Randolph-Henry High School and a 2011 graduate of Jefferson College of Health Sciences. She is currently employed at Centra Home Health.

Patrick is the grandson of James C. Andrews and the late Kathryn T. Andrews, of Charlotte Court House, and Christine F. Price and the late Julian H. Price of Meherrin.  He is a 2008 graduate of Randolph Henry-High School and a 2012 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College. He is currently employed at Dominion Virginia Power.

A September 2016 wedding is planned.
