Happy birthday wishes to Elaine Myers, of Dillwyn (March 12) and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, who will be celebrating her 80th birthday March 17.
Barry Miles, Jane Cooke and her grandson, Sam Givens, all of Cumberland, along with Barry’s cousin Cheryl Canipe of Henrico, enjoyed lunch at Teresa’s Place of Dillwyn on March 3.
Mae Rutherford, of Cumberland, celebrated her 95th birthday on March 9. A birthday luncheon was held in her honor on Saturday afternoon at Teresa’s Place in Dillwyn. In attendance were her sister Grace Hudgins and Barry Miles, both of Cumberland. Also attending were Susie Taylor and Annie May Miles, both of Dillwyn, Patricia Woodfin and Eleanor Newton, of New Canton, and Mae’s nephew and wife, Danny and Arlene Figgins, of Front Royal. A great time of fun and fellowship was had by all.

Loaves of Love food pantry operated by the Seven Day Adventist Church for Cumberland County and Cartersville residents will hold a food distribution Thursday from 2-4 p.m.; bring two forms of ID. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are accepted. For information or an appointment call (804) 512-7547.
Fitzgerald Baptist Church, of Cumberland, partnering with Central Virginia Food Bank Feed More Program of Richmond, will be distributing food to Cumberland County residents including Cartersville on Monday, March 21, at noon at Southworth Power & Equipment, 1273 Anderson Hwy., Cumberland. If not already registered see director Jerry Seal; food recipients should bring bags. USDA foods will also be distributed.
