Winning and receiving awards are no strange concepts for the Buckingham County High School JROTC. The group of talented students — led by a dedicated staff — has raked in countless group and individual awards throughout the years. Recently, the cadets competed in the fourth annual Harrisonburg Blue Streak Invitational Drill Meet, where Buckingham took first place overall for the fourth consecutive year. On top of that, the students took home 10 individual first-, second- and third-place awards. Buckingham’s JROTC continues to set the standard for cadets, not only across the state, but across the nation, and for that, we commend them.
