Beulah AME Church in Farmville will host a Founder’s Day celebration and reception honoring Bishop Richard Allen, founder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, on Sunday, at 2 p.m. “Bishop Richard Allen: Apostle of Freedom, the Documentary” will be shown with brief remarks from local historians. The public is invited to attend.
