Pauline Dunkum LeSueur gained her angel wings Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the daughter of the late W. Elijah and Rosa B. Dunkum.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Frank E. LeSueur, her son, Larry E. LeSueur, four sisters, Ruth Jones, Sarah Thomas, Mildred Stanley and Beulah Old, and three brothers, Wilson Dunkum, Joshua Dunkum and Lennon Dunkum.

Pauline is survived by her daughters, Linda L. Allen (Wiley) and Elaine Davenport (Wayne), both of Dillwyn; her brother, Eldon Dunkum of Dillwyn; five grandchildren, Monte Allen, Vonda Wharam, Tammy Hunt, Theresa Gough and Toni Lusk; 15 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren who lovingly called her “Granny.”

Pauline was a faithful and lifelong member of Browns Chapel United Methodist Church.  She loved to cook and bake—feeding her family was a true joy for her.  Pauline found peace in gardening and comfort in a life of simplicity.  She will forever be remembered for her loving heart, her light-rolls and her perfectly painted fingernails.

Funeral services were held February 7 in Browns United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, is serving the family. www.dunkumfuneralhome.com
