On Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25, Longwood University softball hosted three games against Charleston Southern University. Buckingham native and former Longwood softball player Marci Christian and senior Lancer softball player Megan Baltzell, who are the top two home run leaders in Big South Conference softball, went head-to-head during the weekend series and excited the crowd as they played against each other. Christian currently holds the #1 spot for home runs (hit during the 2015 season) in the Big South with 23 homers, while Baltzell follows closely in the #2 spot with 22.
