Keith O’Donald White

Keith O’Donald White, affectionately known as K.O., of Cumberland County and formerly of Halifax, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital at the age of 52.
He was born in Halifax County on July 5, 1963 to the late Hattie White Sims and was married to Catherine Shearn White. He was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church and was a United States Army Veteran. For many years Keith was the Recreation Director for Cumberland County.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Shearn White of the home; three sons, Dante White of South Boston, De’Von Shearn and DaSean Shearn, both of Cunberland; one brother, Kevin Sims of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren, Jamaal White and Ja’Kayla White; his mother-in-law, Mary Ethel Shearn of Paterson, NJ; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and devoted friends including Travis Gilliam, Alfonzo Bell, Duane Partusch, David Sullivan, Omar Liggins, Howard Paras and Tyrone Mosley.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 30 at 11 a.m. at Banister Hill Baptist Church, 399 North Main Street, Halifax, VA 24558. Burial will follow in church cemetery with military rites.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, January 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Cumberland County Elementary School, 1541 Anderson Hwy, Cumberland, VA.
