Curtis Dean Jones, 79, of Farmville, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at his home.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty and his parents, William and Thelma Oaks Jones.

He is survived by one son, Michael D. Jones; three daughters, Debra A. Bates, Cathy M. Jamerson (David Ray) and Sandra K. Jones; three brothers, Clarence W. Jones (Lucy), John D. Jones (Sandra), and Jerry W. Jones (Margaret); nine grandchildren, Jennifer J. Shorter (Charles), Tiffany Spillman (Charlie), Lisa Haley (Dennis), Brandy M. Tucker (Jay), Benjamin D. Jones, Christopher S. Jones, Johnathan Jamerson (Kimie), Brandon L. Jones, and Brendan Jones and seventeen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 21 in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
