Walk For Education totals reported

CUMBERLAND — The Cumberland County Public Schools Foundation has released the final totals from the Walk For Education.
The event, held in October, raised $8,319.14, according to foundation spokeswoman Barbara Gamage.
“The schools’ [donations] totaled $4,267.89 and from the community, $4,051.25.”
“We are thankful for contributions from the following: C&F Bank, Men’s Group at Payne United Methodist Church, St. James Episcopal ECW, Thomas Chapel Methodist Church, The Woman’s Club of Cumberland (in memory of Ida Sue Sewell), Pat Allard — Ride for Education, Linda Lineweaver and Herb Goodman.”
According to Gamage, funds raised by the foundation will be allocated to grants for teachers and scholarships to students and graduates of Cumberland High School.
