FARMVILLE — The Town of Farmville will change its garbage routes in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day on Monday and Lee-Jackson Day on Friday.

According to a town notice, there will be no business garbage or pickup on Friday or Monday.

“Monday’s business and residential pickup, along with Tuesday’s regular residential route, miscellaneous call in collection and curbside recycling will be on Tuesday, Jan. 19,” the notice stated.

“Business garbage and cardboard will only be collected on Tuesday and Friday for the week of Jan. 18- 22,” the release stated.

Loose leaf pickup will end on Wednesday, Jan. 20. “After this date, all leaves will need to be bagged for collection. Please remember to remove all debris (limbs, sticks, etc.) from the loose leaves.”
