The Cumberland 4-H Mentoring Program for middle school youth has secured federal funding for a second year to offer the opportunity to connect with young people through positive social experiences. Mentoring can play a powerful role in providing young people with tools to make responsible decisions, stay focused and positively engage in school. These relationships can also lead to constructive community interactions. For more information on the program, contact Yvonne Earvin at (804) 492-4390 or yearvin@vt.edu.
