According to Maj. David Wilmoth of the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office, the 14-, 16- and 17-year-old males are charged with armed robbery, three counts of abduction, breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit break and enter and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Two were arrested on Dec. 13 while one of the suspects was arrested Monday.

The arrests stem from an incident reported in the 13000 block of Patrick Henry Highway, U.S. Route 360, at about 3:38 p.m.

Two of the juveniles have also been linked to a separate breaking and entering at the residence, reported Dec. 10 — a day after the robbery. A third juvenile is charged in connection with the break-in, Wilmoth said.

“Two … males entered the residence [and] displayed firearms to the complainant,” he said of the Dec. 9 robbery. “They stole a tattoo set and a PlayStation 4. They left on foot and [are] believed to have gotten into a vehicle.”

No one was injured during the incident.

“They held three people [at gunpoint],” Wilmoth said of the abduction charges.

“We have recovered the property that was taken,” he said.

The three juveniles are being held at the Piedmont Juvenile Detention Center, according to Wilmoth.

During the Dec. 10 reported break-in, three juveniles stole a PlayStation game console, shoes, games and a game controller. The three faces charges of breaking and enter, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, grand larceny and conspiracy to commit a breaking and entering. The charges were filed Wednesday, Wilmoth said.

He said that the investigation is ongoing. Sheriff’s Deputy Sarah Coen and Investigator Joe Sprague are investigating the incident, he said.
