FARMVILLE — The Farmville Jaycees have announced additional winners of the 2015 Farmville Christmas Parade held Dec. 6 in downtown Farmville.

In the non-commercial and religious floats category, first place went to the Virginia Children’s Book Festival, featuring the Waterworks Players cast of the “May the Farce be with You,” second place went to the Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad and third place went to the Farmville Area Kiwanis and Special Olympics Area 12.

In the marching units category, first place went to the Prince Edward County Bookworms, second place went to the Farmville Girl Scouts and third place went to the Dynamic Divaz Social Club.

In the commercial category, first place went to the Heart of Virginia Farmers Market, second place went to The Fishin’ Pig and third place went to Centra Southside Community Hospital.

In the horses category, first place went to New Horizon Equine Services and second place went to The Tom Mix Rangers.

Cumberland County Middle School took top honors in the marching band category.
