Juvenile arrested in breaking and entering

PRINCE EDWARD — A 14-year-old is charged in connection with a residential breaking and entering reported on Nov. 3 in the 3000 block of Pin Oak Road in Prospect.

According to Maj. David Wilmoth of the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile faces charges of grand larceny, breaking and entering and destruction of property.

The alleged break-in was reported at 3:59 p.m. Entry was gained through the rear window, “which was pried open. A Sony Playstation 4 was taken, and video games,” Wilmoth said.

The stolen property was recovered, he said. “Petitions were issued on the juvenile … on Nov. 12,” Wilmoth said.
