Charles Frost Lewis Jr.

Charles Frost Lewis Jr.,92, of Dillwyn, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. He was born on September 19, 1923 in Raleigh, NC to the late Charles F. and Lucille Wright Lewis. He served his country as a Marine in WWII and was very patriotic.
He was a dedicated deacon at his church that he dearly loved and served as the treasurer for many years. He was well know for his harmonica playing and would share his talent at nursing homes and at veteran events. His hobby was wood working and being a member of the local Ruritan’s club.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; a daughter, Linda Craft of Moorehead, KY; six grandchildren, Robin L. Kegley, Michelle C. Ryan, “Bobby” Lewis, Melanie C. Hurst, Michael Craft and Jessica L. Christian; 10 great- grandchildren; and a brother, John Webb Lewis of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles David Lewis, and a son-in-law, Roger Craft.
A memorial service was held Sunday, November 15, in Salem United Methodist Church, Dillwyn.
