Hard work keeps the town clean

The Town of Farmville recently held its annual town cleanup, picking up old and worn-out furniture, tires, carpeting and building materials. Despite the town holding the cleanup once a year, workers with the town’s maintenance division work hard in keeping the roads, sidewalks, parks and trails free of litter and trash year round, and should be commended for their dedication and hard work. Pictured are two of the town’s maintenance employees picking up trash during the annual cleanup. James Edwards, left, has been with the town for three-and-a-half years, while Wallace Junior Jones, right, has been with the town for 28 years.
