The Longwood University club football team will face off against George Mason University for the second time this season on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Lancer Park Athletic Fields.
Longwood first played George Mason two weeks ago when the Lancers traveled to Fairfax and took a 26-6 win.
During the game the Lancers produced over 300 all-purpose yards. They also held George Mason to 100 all-purpose yards, according to Longwood club football head coach Vince Tate.
Longwood also produced nine quarterback sacks, multiple forced fumbles and had multiple interceptions during that game .
“That win was a boost for the team after a recent 15-6 loss against Ohio State University club football team,” said Tate.
“The Lancers had several offensive turnovers that proved to be key in their loss.”
Longwood’s club football team looks to improve to 2-2 this weekend with another win against George Mason.
Admission for the game is free.
