Nov. 4 – Happy birthday wishes are sent out to Betty Waycaster, of Dillwyn, and Eric Cooke, of Cartersville, celebrating on Monday, Nov. 8.
Pete and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, along with Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, visited in the home of Frank and Gladys Toney in Highland Springs, on Wednesday, Nov. 2. A nice time was had by all.
Our prayers and thoughts go out this week to all those who are sick and shut-in.
Welcome home to Ann Carter, of Dillwyn, also who has been under the weather. She is said to be doing well as of this writing.
Visiting in the home of Elizabeth Stone in Dillwyn this past weekend was her daughter, Denise Anderson, of Colonial Beach.
Note: Veteran's Day is Thursday, Nov. 11. Let us remember and thank God for those men and women who have fought and are still fighting for our freedom today.
Remember: Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, Nov. 7, and Eastern standard time begins at 2 a.m. It's a good day to set clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night.
Barry Miles, of Cumberland, will be sharing gospel music on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at Brookview Lodge, and 3:30 p.m. at Holly Manor Nursing Home in Farmville. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Miles also will be singing on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 4:30 p.m. at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Dillwyn. Everyone is welcome to attend.
