Charles Weaver, 83

KEYSVILLE, Oct. 28 – Charles Francis Weaver, 83, of Keysville, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 in Farmville. He was born March 11, 1927 in Green Bay, the son of the late Henry Thomas Weaver and Laura Eiseman Weaver. Mr. Weaver served his country in the United States Marines during WWII. He was very active in the VFW Post in Crewe. He worked as a farmer and with the railroad in Crewe. He was also a rural postal carrier in the Green Bay area.

He was the husband of Helen Weaver.

He is survived by his wife; son, Charles F. Weaver Jr. and wife, Susan of Reston; step-daughter, Susan Pyle and husband, Ronnie of Keysville; step-son, Jack A. Diddle of Keysville; grandchildren, Eddie and Jesse Pyle both of Keysville; sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and his beloved dogs, Sally and Leroy. He was preceded in death by brother, Henry T. Weaver Jr. and a sister, Betty Jean Yeatts.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 31, at 3 p.m. at Liberty Christian Church in Green Bay. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad, Liberty Christian Church or to your favorite charity.
