On Sept. 9, the Prince-Edward Farmville Youth Association (PEFYA) Dixie Angels were honored at the monthly Farmville Town Council Meeting. Each team member and coach received a plaque for their hard work and dedication during the 2015 season, when the team traveled to Moore County, N.C., and competed in the Dixie Girls Softball World Series among 24 different teams from over 11 states. The girls won games against Florida and Tennessee before being eliminated from the competition.
