CURDSVILLE, Oct. 12 – Kenneth Victor Kragh Sr., 79, of Curdsville, passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
Born and raised in Southern Maryland (Charles County), and previously of Roanoke, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, a former Virginia State Police Trooper and retired from a career with the U.S. Treasury Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, St. John's Lutheran Church and Curdsville Community Center.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Barbara Kragh; brothers, Calvin and Clarence Kragh; sisters, Owna Sullivan and Loretta Rollins; children, Chris and Sharon Kragh, Victor Kragh and Bonnie Kragh all of Roanoke and Dennis Kragh of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Stephanie Moiczek, John Kragh, Brian Kragh, Nicholas Kragh, Stephen Allman, Mark Allman, Sarah Allman, Gabriel Kragh and Belinda Kragh and great-grandchildren, Jessica and Grace Freeman, Brandon and Matthew Moiczek, Sadie Rain Kragh and Noah Riley Kragh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linn and Agnes Kragh, brothers, Anton, Leonard, Alvin, Robert and Charles and a sister, Mildred Byrne.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 9, in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Interment followed in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
Donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Smyrna United Methodist Church.
