YMCA Notes Upcoming Events

The Southside Virginia Family YMCA announces the following upcoming events:
Healthy Lifestyle Speaker Series: September 16 to November 18 on Thursdays from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.; topics include Goal Setting, Parenting Skills, Stress Management, and Nutrition; geared for families as well as teens and adults.
Heartland Heat Cheerleading Tryouts: Saturday, October 23, from 10 a.m. – noon; any girl ages 5-12 years is invited to tryout; cost $5.
Halloween Hustle Fun Run: Saturday, October 23, at 9 a.m.;
cost $5; Trunk or Treating follows the fun run for all race participants.
Holiday Classic 5K Run, Youth 1 Mile Run, Chili Cookoff & Golf Ball Drop: Saturday, December 11,
9 a.m. – 1p.m..
