All veterans, their dependents, and any individuals that support our local veterans are invited to attend the first open meeting for Farmville American Legion Post #32 on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Farmville Train Station.
Commander Ed Dunn and Auxiliary President Sarah Maddox will cover new and exciting opportunities for veterans and residents of Prince Edward County and the Town of Farmville to become actively involved in supporting active duty service members and local veterans. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring their children who can join the Junior Auxiliary as well as the Sons of the American Legion.
Several guest speakers will be present, and veterans/dependents will have an opportunity to learn about benefits as well as enrollment for VA Healthcare. The local Legion will meet the third Thursday of every month beginning in August at the Train Station. All local veterans and their families are invited to attend.
