DILLWYN, May 28 — Charlie Lewis Allen Sr., 85, of Dillwyn, departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2015 in Dillwyn.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Gertrude; five children, John (Mary Ann), Charlie Jr. (Carol), Jean, Ronnie (Audra) and Christine; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home of Cumberland where public viewing will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Dillwyn with interment in the church cemetery with the Rev. Leroy Ross, pastor, the Rev. Ollie Bolden, officiating.
