FARMVILLE — Prince Edward County TRIAD will hold its next meeting August 14  at the Firemen’s Sports Arena located at 1328 Zion Hill Rd. in Farmville.  A Finger Food luncheon will be provided beginning at Noon, with information sessions on “Emergency Preparedness” to follow. 

Although a major tropical storm has not hit our area this year, the Atlantic Hurricane Season runs through November 30.  Learn what basic necessities to have on hand and what other precautions should be taken during not only tropical storm emergencies but winter storms that follow.  Speakers will include Chief Curtis Davis, of the Farmville Police Department, and Gene Stewart, from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.
