Sheetz in the wind: man flees questioning

FARMVILLE — Town Police spotted an individual who fit the description of a 31-year-old wanted suspect at the parking lot of Sheetz August 1 at approximately 8:15 p.m.
“…The officer observed him … [and] he fit the description from the lookout and he saw the tattoos on him that fit the description from the lookout. He went to approach him, as he got out of the car, started to walk towards him, the subject fled —took off running — and then the officer lost him in a … foot pursuit,” Farmville Police Chief Curtis Davis said.
While the individual at the scene was not confirmed to be the suspect sought, the suspect sought had active warrants for an assault and larceny in other jurisdictions. Davis told the told The Herald Monday that the suspect had not been captured.
