The Farmville Jaycees are pleased to announce the upcoming Aug. 7 First Fridays event featuring blues artist Bobby “Black Hat” Walters.

Bobby “Black Hat” Walters is a recording artist, harmonica player and vocalist hailing from Cleveland, Ohio. Bobby has been performing classic, modern, and original blues tunes for crowds for the past 40 years. Visit bobbyblackhat.com for more details.

The First Fridays Concert Series, a signature event for the Farmville Jaycees and local community, begins at 5:30 p.m. at Riverside Park in Historic Downtown Farmville.

This family friendly event will has activities for children, food from local vendors, a variety of craft beverages, and a signature raffle sponsored by Alcova Mortgage. The prize will be presented at the end of the season.

The Farmville Jaycees are grateful to many business and community members for their continued support of this concert series. Two events remain for the season: Aug. 7 and Sept. 11.
