Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Stockton visited Mrs. Naomi Skinner, Mrs. Mary Wilkerson, Ray Kelsey and Bobbie Leatherwood on Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene (Lois) Southall toured the Civil War Hospital Museum in Gordonsville last week.

This was a most interesting museum to visit with items from the South and North on display.

Mr. and Mrs. John (Shirley) Fulcher visited Ray Kelsey and Bobbie Leatherwood on Sunday evening at the Woodlands.

Miss Taylor Fulcher is adjusting to college life at Liberty University while her parents are adjusting to her being away.

Mrs. Edith Vaughan has returned home after spending a few days with her daughters in Northern Virginia.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Stockton visited Mrs. Alice Kelsey on Tuesday in her new apartment in Lynchburg.

Miss Joy McCord is settling in at Longwood University. Her grandparents, Fred and Joyce Floyd, are delighted to have her so close by. Joy has been accepted into the nursing program at Longwood University.

Mrs. Flora Bolt visited Mrs. Edna Woodson at Trinity Missions last Sunday also visiting was her husband, William Woodson. Mrs. Woodson had had a fall and is slowly improving.

Mrs. Flora Bolt attended her second ever soccer game on Sunday afternoon. Her grandson, Joshua Bolt, was honored. It was “Joshua Bolt Day” at Johnson Drive Soccer Field at Longwood University. Joshua is honored each year by the girls' soccer team and their coaches on or near his birthday. His birthday was the August 31. Many of the girls on the team help with Joshua's therapy. Joshua is the son of Kyle and Jennifer Bolt. Others attending the game on Sunday were his other grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vince (Linda) Eikmeir; John and Lois Gager; Dale and Judy Bolt; and Chris and Melissa Bolt.

The Special Blessings group of Glenn Memorial Baptist Church at Prospect attended the Missions Fair held at Grace Hills Baptist Church in Appomattox last Saturday evening. The fair was made up of groups from different churches with tables set-ups with different items on them. Some tables had been set up by missionaries. The Special Blessings group carried items they had hand made for local missions. Those from Glenn Memorial attending were Shirley Fulcher, Shirley Mottley, Evelyn Shelton, Pat Foster, Jeannette Tarlton and Martha Webb.

Family, friends and neighbors are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this time. Special prayers are needed for John Ray Wilkerson, Bobbie Leatherwood, Ray Kelsey, Mary Lula Allen and Mary Overton.

Neighbors and friends are expressing their sincere sympathy to the family of Mr. Albert “Al” Page and others who have lost loved ones recently.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will be back in the pulpit Sunday.
