On June 21, the Right Rev. Herman “Holly” Hollerith IV, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia, visited Johns Memorial Episcopal Church with Deacon Marguerite Alley. After delivering a sermon calling on the congregation to support God’s work in uniting a multitude of perspectives within the church family, Bishop Hollerith presided over the confirmation, reception, and reaffirmation of 15 members of the church and two guests. In the words of Bishop Hollerith, “Joy abounds at Johns Memorial.” Pictured, from left, are Tom Arnold, Sara Arnold, Sherri Hughes, Vicki Palmer, Mary Salmon, Keillor Libby, Jessie Green, Claire Utzinger, The Very Rev.
