Tanasia Miller, a rising senior at Prince Edward County High School, is the 2015 recipient of the William & Mary Leadership Award for PECHS.

This award is presented to the one student who best exemplifies the spirit of Prince Edward County High School.  Award recipients are selected because of their demonstration of the following: inspirational leadership, outstanding scholarship, and unwavering loyalty to the high school and community.

In addition to receiving a certificate and commendation, William & Mary honors all recipients, one from each high school, with a pewter medallion.  This medal represents a similar medallion worn by graduating W&M seniors in recognition of their sustained leadership to the William and Mary community.

Graduates of the College include the author of the Declaration of Independence, three U.S. presidents, the man who shaped the federal judicial system, the youngest Super Bowl winning head coach in history, one of America’s foremost political satirists, and many more.  William and Mary has set the tone for both leadership and higher education since its founding in 1693.

Tanasia is the daughter of Tomeka White, of Farmville.
