My Christmas List
Published 3:45 pm Thursday, December 1, 2011
Well, since it is December and it is Christmastime that means the jolly ole' man will be making his stops before we know it, so I thought I'd take time to make my list…
Santa baby, slip something good under the tree, for me.
I've been an awful good girl.
Santa baby, a golf cart with big tires and an extra back seat, please. (See, I'm extra nice, you see, and will ask for that from the hubby).
I'll wait up for you, dear (I'm usually awake anyway, you know, with the nocturnal three-year old and all).
Think of all the fun I've missed.
Think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed. (Mine at home is the best-he even does the dishes, oh yes!)
Next year I could be oh so good.
If you'd check off my Christmas list.
Santa honey, this momma just wants a good night's rest and really that's not a lot.
I've been an angel all year.
Santa cutie, there's one thing I really do need, the deed to a comfy beach house.
Santa baby, I'm also filling my stocking with a few blank checks-just sign your name on the line in case I get in a tight spot later this year.
Come and you don't even have to trim my Christmas tree; see, we've already done that.
With some decorations not bought at Tiffany's (they were on sale after Christmas a few years ago at Target).
I really do believe in you.
Let's see if you believe in me.
Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, you can forget about that ring (my hubby did a good job with that when he got down on one knee) but some new snow boots (just in case).
I don't mean a phone (I hate answering it).
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight.
Hurry down the chimney tonight.
Hurry down the chimney tonight.
(Just don't get confused-you can't fit through the pipe on our outdoor wood stove. It's okay; you can come through the door. We'll leave it open! And you can't miss our house, it's the one all lit up. It even looks like a landing pad…Made just for you.)
Happy cookies and milk, Megan!
