DILLWYN, August 14 – Henry Parke Jones Jr., 72, of Dillwyn, departed this life on Saturday, August 9, 2008 in Dillwyn.

He is survived by his children, Bruce Parke Jones Sr. of Columbia, SC and Yulonda Denise Ingram (Ernest) of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Jones of Texas; four sisters, Pauline Levy of Georgia, Helen Arnold of New York, Eileen Miller of Virginia, and Geraldine Roche of Maryland; one uncle; three sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, where family will receive friends Friday from 7-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Slate River Baptist Church, Dillwyn, with the Rev. Calvin Booker, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
