Bring your sketchpad, camera, paint sets, or other art supplies as we gather on the grounds of Longwood University on Saturday, October 15, from 9 a.m. to noon. Explore the architecture, landscaping, and fountains of the Longwood campus to find inspiration for your work. In the spring of 2012, the LCVA will host an exhibition of art about Longwood. Come get a head start on your own submission.

The three-hour, outdoor studio session will be an invitation to create art, with light refreshments and plentiful inspiration. Parking for the event will be available at the Crafts Lot off of High Street, between Farmville United Methodist Church and Johns Memorial Episcopal Church.

The event is cosponsored by Central Virginia Arts and the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts. Members of either organization can attend for $5; nonmembers, $15. To learn more or to register, call the LCVA at 395-2206.
