To Wed In August

Mr. and Mrs. John Palmen, of Mechanicsville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Jessica Gayle Palmen, to Tyler Brice Napier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Napier, of Keysville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ms. Lois Simmons, of Mechanicsville, and the late Bob Simmons, of Hyde County, NC, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Palmen, of Mechanicsville. The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Morton Sr., of Charlotte Court House, and Ms. Eva Napier and the late A. C. “Jack” Napier, of Keysville.
Miss Palmen is a 2006 graduate of Lee-Davis High School in Mechanicsville, and is currently attending Longwood University where she will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies Middle School Education this winter.
Mr. Napier is a 2006 graduate of Randolph-Henry High School and a 2010 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Commerce. He is currently working as a planning assistant for Moore, Huebsch, and Associates in Richmond, a branch of Ameriprise Financial.
An August wedding is planned.
