Kendrick Brian Gibbs of York, PA, became an Eagle Scout at his Court of Honor on May 21 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in York. Kendrick is the grandson of James and Marjorie Robison, of Cumberland.

Kendrick's project consisted of building 17 birdhouses and three butterfly boxes, which were placed along the Derry Park Nature Trail in West Manchester Township. He and his fellow scouts also refurbished existing birdhouses and collected trash along the trail.

Kendrick's Court of Honor ceremony was conducted by his scout leader, David Hostetter. Dignitaries in attendance included Congressman Todd R. Platts and Staffer, Sandy Bush on behalf of State Representative Seth Grove.

Kendrick's future plans are to attend Shippensburg University in the fall to pursue a career in teaching.
