NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed Bids on behalf of the Town of Farmville, Virginia, will be received at the Town of Farmville Town Manager's Office on the 1st Floor of the Town of Farmville Municipal Building, 116 North Main Street, Farmville, Virginia, 23901, until but no later than 2:00 p.m. local time prevailing, July 26, 2011, and then publicly opened and read immediately thereafter for the construction of the following:
Milnwood Road Improvements Project: The project scope consists of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway, improving the existing shoulders, the addition of turning lanes onto Scott Drive and Price Drive, entrance improvements, improvement of roadway tapers, and spot roadway improvements. Project will include traffic control, including work zone layouts; erosion and sediment control; extension of water and sewer laterals, seeding of disturbed areas; and other items necessary for the completion of the work, at the following location:
• Along Milnwood Road from South Main Street (US 15) to East Third Street (US 460 Business), approximately 7953' in length.
• Along Scott Drive from Milnwood Road to Town of Farmville Limits, approximately 430' in length.
• Along Price Drive from Milnwood Road to Town of Farmville Limits, approximately 255' in length.
Invitation for Bid documents may be obtained from: McCormick Taylor, North Shore Commons A, 4951 Lake Brook Drive, Suite 275, Glen Allen, VA 23060, (804) 762-5800, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for a non-refundable fee of $75.00. Bid documents can be delivered via UPS Ground delivery for an additional $10.00 (for a total of $85.00 pre-paid). Only complete sets will be issued. Order documents by calling the office of McCormick Taylor and allow one business day for pickup and two business days for UPS delivery.
