PE Advances To Conference Championship Game: Eagles Varsity Boys Soccer Takes 4-0 Victory Over Amelia

FARMVILLE — Undefeated regular season; check. Bye into the Quad Rivers Conference 34 tournament; check. Semifinal win in the conference tournament; check. Spot in the championship game; check.
The Prince Edward County High School varsity boys soccer team cannot be stopped, as they took a 4-0 semifinal victory over the Amelia County High School Raiders on Wednesday, May 27.
“Team MVP, Colton Sheehan, led the charge with two goals and one assist, while James River District Player of the Year, Malte Carolus, scored two goals to add to his tally,” commented PECHS varsity boys soccer coach Devin Pierce.
Niko Reinson also scored a goal to aid the Eagles in their conference win.
Five Eagle players were also selected for the JRD All-District team this week. As mentioned by Pierce, Sheehan and Carolus were named to the team, with Carolus locking in Player of the Year. Bryce Deitrich was Player of the Year Runner-Up, while Reinson (Team Impact Player of the Year) and Robin Schneider (Team Defensive MVP) were also named to the All-District Team.
With the victory, the Eagles improve to 17-0 overall and advanced to the Quad Rivers Conference 34 championship game on Thursday, May 28. PECHS hosted the Goochland High School Bulldogs for the championship title.
