HOPE Plans Prom For Local Seniors

Who says you have to be in high school to attend the senior prom? Senior citizens in our community should get out their best dress and shine their shoes for the “senior” prom.
HOPE Community Services, along with area businesses and community organizations, is planning this district-wide event for seniors 70 years and older. There is absolutely no cost for admission.
The prom will be held at Longwood University in the Grand Dining Hall on Thursday, June 30, from 4-7p.m.
HOPE expects to see at least 100 seniors show up for the prom. The agency's Executive Director Dr. Kitty Smith says, “It is always a privilege to host an event for our most precious citizens.”
