Mary Catharine Wilkins

Mary Catharine Wilkins, 96, of Meherrin, died on Thursday, July 3. She was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 26, 1928, to John and Catharine Adams. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Guy Wilkins; and daughter Catharine L. Tatem.

Mary leaves behind a loving family, son-in-law, John Tatem; two grandchildren, Cheryl and Michael and two great-grandchildren, Courtney and Austin. She has one sister, Nancy Homan who resides in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mary loved gardening and riding on her riding lawn mower she nicknamed, “Orange Blosom”.

She will be greatly missed by all but never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on July 12, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Meherrin. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville is serving the family.
