The National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, Blue Ridge Chapter will hold its Walk MS: Farmville at the Moose Lodge on April 16.

More than 100 walkers are expected to come out the event and help raise the goal of $635,000 across the chapter area. Funds raised will support direct services for more than 6,000 people with MS and their families in central and western Virginia, the state of West Virginia, and seven counties in Kentucky and research to find a cure for this chronic disease of the central nervous system.

Event registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk starts at 10 a.m. People can participate in Walk MS individually or as a team. Volunteers are also needed.
