Prince Edward County High has a new homecoming queen and king. For the 2024-25 school year, ShaKeyah Williams was crowned queen, with Tyrone Hughes Jr. named as king. The pair received the honor on Friday, Oct. 10, in front of a cheering crowd during halftime of the Eagles’ football game.
Williams is a member of the cheerleading and track teams. She will receive her academic jacket in December and plans to attend Howard University, where she’ll major in Business. Hughes is a member of both the football and track teams. He plans to go to an apprentice school after graduation to major in Electrical Engineering.
The newly crowned pair are pictured here, center, with last year’s king and queen on either side. The 2023 queen, Tramirah Nash, is on the far left and the 2023 king, Jamarion Crawley, is on the right.
