It’s official. The complete regular-season basketball schedule is in after the Big South Conference office announced the league slate for both the men and women today.

The schedule (men’s, women’s [include hyperlink]) features 16 conference contests for the men and the women as they vie for Big South titles.

Fans will be treated to plenty of basketball, with the two teams mirroring each other throughout conference play. Each side will have eight home contests and eight on the road. Longwood will face off against each team in the league twice in a double round-robin setup.

The Lancers open the conference slate on Thursday, January 2, with the men on the road at Presbyterian while the women break the seal on Big South play at the Joan Perry Brock Center.

Other high-profile matchups include dates against High Point (January 15 and February 12), Winthrop (January 11 and February 26), and in-state rival Radford (January 22 and February 8).

Seasons wrap up with conference tournament

The seasons culminate with the 2025 Hercules Tires Big South Basketball Championship, which will be held at the Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, Tenn., from March 5-9.  The first round will be Wednesday, March 5 (one women’s game and one men’s game), followed by four women’s quarterfinal contests on Thursday, March 6, and four men’s quarterfinal match-ups on Friday, March 7.  Both semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, March 8, with the Championship games set for Sunday, March 9.
