Saturday, June 8, marked the 70th year reunion of the former Carter G. Woodson High School held. Carter G. Woodson High School was the first high school that opened for black students in Buckingham County in 1954. Many Alumni Yellow Jackets, the school’s mascot, from the classes of 1955-1970 came from near and far to attend the reunion which was held at the Carter G. Woodson Education Complex in Dillwyn.
