Longwood Head Women’s Golf Coach Megan Weaver released the team’s schedule for 2024-25. The Lancers will play eight tournaments through the fall and spring prior to the Big South Championship that runs April 13-16.
To open the season, Longwood heads to the Elon Invitational, hosted by Elon, at the Alamance Country Club on September 16-17. The Lancers then play again two weeks later at the 2024 Pirate Collegiate Classic, hosted by East Carolina. The classic, which will be held at the Greenville Country Club, will be September 30-October 1.
Longwood will then play in tournaments in back-to-back weeks to close out their fall schedule. First, the team travels to the Edisto Island Invitational on October 14-15. The tournament is hosted by the College of Charleston in Edisto Island, South Carolina at The Plantation Course.
Then, the team closes the month at the UNCG Fall Collegiate, hosted by UNC Greensboro at Forest Oaks Country Club on October 21-22.
In the spring, the Lancers begin play in February at the Oyster Shuck Match Play, hosted by Citadel. The event will be at the Charleston Municipal Golf Course on February 10-11.
After nearly a month-long break, the Lancers will play at the Butler Spring Invitational at Ardea Country Club in Tampa, Florida. Butler University will host the event on March 10-11.
Two weeks later, Longwood heads to The Nashville Invitational, hosted by Lipscomb, at the Hermitage Golf Course — President’s Reserve on March 24-25.
Longwood then closes the regular season with a trip to the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State, on March 31-April 1 at the Mimosa Hills Country Club.
The Lancers then return to the Big South Championship on Fripp Island, with the tournament running from April 13-16.
Last season, Longwood advanced to match play for the first time since joining the Big South, and the team’s semifinal match came down to the final hole.
