At its May 14 meeting, the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors had the pleasure of recognizing the county’s May Employee of the Month, Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue, Teresa Estes.

Estes is a twenty-year employee of Prince Edward County. She joined the county in 2004 as a Deputy Clerk in the Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court. She transferred to the Commissioner of Revenue’s Office in the spring of 2023 where she has made an outstanding contribution.

“In January of 2024, when I took office, I asked Teresa to take over a position new to her in real estate. She is always eager to learn, has a great work ethic and I knew she could manage this important scope of work,” said Commissioner of the Revenue Crystal Hensley. “When she took over, the office was behind on real estate transfers. I am proud to say that Teresa has excelled and accomplished bringing us current on ten months of work in just four months, which is a significant achievement.”
