Philander Kelsey, of Rancho Cucamonda, CA, Mr. and Mrs. Hardy (Cathy) Kelsey and Celena, Mr. and Mrs. Mike (Kim) Shumaker and Debra Sue and Darrell, and Ray Kelsey from the Woodlands were at the Kelsey home on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day Ray Kelsey had a visit from his grandson and his wife, Phillip and Melissa Kelsey and great-grandson Bryson from Chesterfield. Bryson wore his Santa pajamas and Santa hat to show his greatgrandpa Ray.

Mrs. Flora Bolt was luncheon guest of Mrs. Marie Self in Scottsville after which they went to Charlottesville where Mrs. Bolt had a doctor's appointment. On the way home she stopped at Wise Ridge Country Store to see friends she had not seen in sometime.

Gordon Johnson's dad, Ralph Johnson, of Virginia Beach, visited with his grandchildren, staying in the Johnson home for a week including Christmas. He and Gordon spent some time looking for signs of “reindeer” in the woods. Alecia's grandmother Selma Bess traveled from North Carolina to visit with the Johnson family and her son Ted Daves in Buckingham. Grannie Bess brought several quarts of shelled pecans from her trees and she and her granddaughter Alecia baked a pecan pie. New Year's Eve the Johnson children were taken to the IMAX theatre at the Science Museum of Virginia to see The Polar Express.

December 19 Alecia Johnson and son Zeb enjoyed having lunch with Sean Stockton and family to continue Sean's birthday celebration.

Mr. and Mrs. John (Lois) Gager, along with Theresa and Danny Marsh, traveled to Washington Crossing, PA, on Thursday to spend New Year's weekend with her niece Marie Ann Smith. They enjoyed their visit from Thursday through Sunday, returning home on Sunday.

Monday morning, Jan. 3, Shirley and George Moore, Betty and Don Meadows, and Margaret and Richard Stockton met at Merk's Place for breakfast.

Mrs. Flora Bolt visited Mrs. Edna Woodson at Trinity Missions Dec. 21. William Woodson was also visiting his wife. Edna is in very good spirits and enjoys seeing her friend.

Mrs. Flora Bolt visited friends, Wilford Hedrick, Ruth Southall and John Varner at the Woodlands on Dec. 23. They are all doing very well and enjoying the Christmas holidays.

The Bolt family got together at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Terri) Bolt and Brandon on Christmas Eve for dinner and gift exchanging. They all had a good time. Those attending were Mrs. Flora Bolt, Mr. and Mrs. Dale (Judy) Bolt, Mr. and Mrs. Kyle (Jeni) Bolt and Joshua, Mr. and Mrs. Chris (Melissa) Bolt, Spc. and Mrs. David (Ashley) Paquette, Ms. Nicky Murdock and children, Haley and Payden, Jason Johnson of Richmond, and Jennifer Page Bolt.

Mrs. Flora Bolt, Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Terri) bolt and Brandon met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Billy (Polly) Mottley on Christmas morning for brunch and gift opening. Also visiting were David and Ashley Paquette, Ms. Nicky Murdock and children Haley and Payden, and Jason Johnson. Later they all went to the home of Madeline Kokotinis for lunch, about 27 people met there. David and Ashley went to his parents in Cumberland to visit.

Family, friends and neighbors are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this

time. Special prayers are needed for Bettye Brisentine, Ray Kelsey, George Moore and Bobbie Leatherwood.

Friends and neighbors are extending their sincere sympathy to the families of Dr. Charles Layne and Mrs. Georgia Collie.
