On October 23, 2010, Marilyn Bibza Engelman and Henry Joseph Childress celebrated their love and commitment in a double-ring ceremony at their church, Farmville Church of Christ.

The couple's pastor Jim Price performed the ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother Jim Bibza, wore an elegant white dress set apart by deep pink beaded flowers. Marilyn also wore her mother's silver rhinestone necklace and earrings and carried a bouquet of topaz roses arranged by her daughter, Laura Collins, of Buckingham.

Laura also arranged vases of roses, carnations and alstomeria for the church and reception.

Matron of honor was Violet Martin, of Farmville, who wore an elegant cranberry dress. Flower girl Makaila Collins, granddaughter of the bride, handed out carnations to those in attendance.

Tom Trevilivan was best man. Ushers were Bobby Morgan and Jason Meeks.

The praise band provided music. Rachel Price sang “The Prayer”; Edgar Critzer, sang “Lover's Lullaby”; the Hertzler family sang “Love Is Home.” Ann Thomas was organist.

It was a perfect fall day for the outdoor reception at Wilck's Lake Island in Farmville. Guests were served a grilled chicken meal catered by Alvin Thomas and assisted by Faye and Alfred Honebein and Scott Thomas.

The three-tier wedding cake, designed by Lottie Bibza, sister-in-law of the bride, featured chocolate and vanilla layers with raspberry filling and was decorated with fresh roses and carnations on each layer.

The groom is assistant manager at Farmer's Cooperative/Southern States in Farmville.

The bride is coauthor and editor of Eli, Greatness Begins.

The couple is at home in Prospect.
