JANUARY 4 — Carolyn Diane Welsh, 53, of Farmville, was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was born August 30, 1957 to the late William Edward Dow and Jessie Louise Dow.

She was married on July 25, 1980 in Bismarck, ND, where daughter, Amanda Kaye was born in 1983. The family then moved to Marietta, GA, where daughter, Kimberly Anne was born in 1986. In 1988, the family relocated to Plate City, MO, where she was employed as a banquet caterer for Marriott Hotels. The family returned to her hometown of Farmville in 1996 to reside on her family farm. She was currently employed by Rochette's Florist where she thoroughly enjoyed working in the greenhouse.

Her hobbies included farming, gardening, cooking, and loving all of her animals. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter, Madalynn. She was looking forward to the birth of her second granddaughter. She lived every day of her life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by all.

Mrs. Welsh is survived by her husband, Kevin Ralph Welsh; two daughters, Amanda Kaye Wells and husband, Ronald Allen Wells, and Kimberly Anne Welsh; aunt, Mabel T. Oakes; grandmother, Janie Thorpe; granddaughters, Madalynn Paige Wells and Olivia Diane Wells; and a special loving friend, Doug Schneider. She was a graduate of Prince Edward Academy in 1975.

A memorial service was held Sunday, January 2, at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home.
