At its Tuesday, April 9, meeting, the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors recognized the County’s April Employee of the Month, Sheriff’s Deputy Peter Carter. Deputy Carter joined the Sheriff’s Department in July of 2023.

“While Peter has been with the Sheriff’s Department for less than a year, he has continuously demonstrated that he is a team player,” said Sheriff L.A. “Tony” Epps. “He is courteous and helpful, and goes out of his way to be of assistance. His work ethic makes him a true asset to this department. We are very lucky to have him.”

To be considered for Employee of the Month, an employee must demonstrate at least one of the County’s core values: customer service, teamwork, innovation initiative, attitude displayed, and positive action.
